詹姆斯·埃德温·马宏
I am Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at Lehman College of The City University of New York. I lead nine departments of 116 full-time faculty, 260 adjunct faculty, and 20 staff. We offer 30+ majors, seven graduate programs, and 40+ minors, serving approximately 1,000 undergraduate majors, 100 graduate students, and 500 minors annually. In addition, the School provides General Education and First-Year Initiative courses to thousands of students across the College.
I am also a Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy. When I have a chance to teach, I teach courses in ethics, philosophy of law, early modern philosophy, and ancient philosophy.
I am also a visiting instructor in the Program on Ethics, Politics, and Economics (EPE) at Yale Summer Session. Every summer I teach an EPE course, cross-listed with Philosophy and Political Science, entitled "Lies and Deception," to high school students, Yale students, and students from other colleges.
I am a Life Member of Clare Hall, Cambridge, where I was a Visiting Fellow in Michaelmas Term 2003. I matriculated at Clare College, Cambridge, in 1992, as an M.Phil. student in Philosophy.
